We have loved reading Circle by Jeannie Baker. The godwit is the migrating bird  upon which the story Circle is based. Today we used a technique called fringing to make our godwits. They are displayed in the corridor outside room 13. We worked so hard to get the body shape correct and then add the feathered detail.

I went to listen to Jeannie Baker speak tonight. Wow!! It’s so inspiring to hear someone speak about their work with such passion. I also got to view room 13’s fabulous collage books in the foyer of Edwardstown Baptist church. We were told tonight that the children’s book will be on display at the Mitcham and Blackwood libraries, as well as the Mitcham Council Chambers.
