Term 2 Week 8 News

Jolly Grammar – This week we have worked with i_e sound and verbs. We had fun taking photos and videos of our friends doing actions for our verbs lesson.

Maths – We are exploring shapes until the end of term. We went on a shape walk to find 2D shapes. We have also been talking about the names and properties of these shapes using the language of shapes corners, edges, sides, straight, curved etc.

Writing – We wrote a piece of persuasive text and read some of them to Mr Hunt. We were trying to convince Mr Hunt to let us have more Nature Pay. We came up with lots of reasons why we should do more Nature like…….. it’s fun, time in the fresh air, oxygen, learn about nature, respect school property, climb trees, build cubbies, make friends with reception children, cooperate, care for nature…… and many more!

Next week will be busy with Nature Play, Special Person’s Day, sharing and our usual learning program.

SPD – We have all the t shirts at school. They will be sent home Wednesday afternoon. Please make sure that your child wears long navy pants Tuesday and Wednesday. Thanks in anticipation 🙂

Excursion payment is due next week. Thanks to those who have already paid.

Sharing – Something your child likes to do with a grandparent.

Thanks to Danielle, Sarah and Shatty for sorting and glueing our art work into our Wow books. Also big thanks to Nat and Megan for sticking our music notes onto our t shirts. All done!!
