Term 4 Weeks 3 and 4 News

This will be brief as I am report writing tomorrow and I have put lots of photos of our learning onto the blog already.

Jolly Grammar – sounds ei and eigh as the ay sound

-dictionary meanings and suffix ing

Maths – Finishing off our learning about multiplication and Chance. We have started a new topic about fractions. We are learning about halves, quarters and eighths. We need to be able to divide shapes and collections of tings into equal parts.

Writing – We have had the opportunity to do some free choice writing to demonstrate our skills. Mrs Hedger has done some more poetry writing with us too. In Literacy Rotations, we have read some poetry and recorded it onto the ipads.

History – We have heard another dreaming story and retold it in our own words and dot paintings. See photos on the blog. We looked at some old photos of CLG PS and talked about how some things have stayed the same and some things are now different. Please help your child prepare for their oral presentation.

Health – We have been talking about keeping ourselves safe and how to identify our body’s Early Warning Signs.

Digital Technology – We paired up and wrote a code for the Beebots. See photos on the blog.

Excursion next Thursday

We will be leaving school at 9am and are not able to wait for latecomers. We will be returning by the end of the school day. So children will need to bring recess, lunch and a water bottle, in their own small, NAMED backpack.

Please dress your child, in school uniform, for the weather on the day. A hat is required and please ensure that they have their sunscreen put on at home prior to coming to school.

Enjoy the pageant!!

History project

Two notes coming home today about our History project…

One explains the project and the other is the interview questions and poster to record on for the oral presentation.

The oral presentations will be carried out on your child’s sharing day over weeks 5 and 6.
