Term 1 week 7 news

Jolly Grammar – We looked at the qu sound. Many children found this one tricky. We also talked about proper nouns needing capital letters. They are special names for people, places and things.
Maths – We continued on with number, looking at some problematized situations. Eg if the farmer had 12 legs in his truck, what animals did he have? Thanks to MR’s family for getting our linear measurement packs ready for our mental routines for the next couple of weeks.
Science was lots of fun this week. You have seen our photos of the egg experiment and our awesome spaghetti towers.
Health – We have discussed what independent learners look like at school. We are trying to become more independent.
Fitness – We took our big buddies through our circuit on Friday.
Sharing – Free choice, bringing one thing along to talk about.
Harmony Day is next Tuesday 21st March. Your child can wear some orange to school. It is not a casual day. More info in school newsletter.
Interviews – A note came home on Thursday about booking your interview time online. Please get in quickly as times book up fast. Looks like many of you have booked already!!

Family picnic – To those families going to the picnic, I hope you have a fun evening.
Parent Class Reps – Room 13 would love a couple of parents to volunteer to be our class reps and organize a few social functions for the families of room 13. There will be an information meeting on Friday 31st March. Email me if you are interested please.
