Term 2 Weeks 3 and 4.

Jolly Grammar – We looked at the different ways to make the ou and or sounds. We also looked at using the verb ‘to be’ in the present and past tenses. Eg I am, I was, we are, we were etc. Tricky stuff!!

Writing – We are still finding out about persuasive/ exposition writing. The focus has been on for and against and the structure of this type of writing. We need to be able to justify our reasons.

Literacy Rotations – At the moment we are encouraging students to stop reading their books halfway through and predict the ending. It’s lots of fun. Try it at home……

Maths – For measurement we have been finding the area of different shapes. Ms Waye set us a problem to find out how many pavers she would need for her pergola and how much they would cost. This was an engaging challenge for us.

Science and Health – You have seen our fun experiments posted during the week. Thanks for your feedback on our learning.

Smart Start program from the Commonwealth Bank came to talk to use about spending, saving and investing our money.
